Singapore, Singapore
Home for the next 4 months.
My time here as come to an end. I will miss everyone I met and came to love. I learned so much here and will cherish this side of the world for a long, long time. A very bittersweet ending. All my love.
Amazing.
Basically, The Botanic Gardens is a giant public park that contains different sections for a specific type of garden. So there's a Healing Garden, a Evolution Garden, an Orchid Garden and so on and so forth. We walked around the gardens to see all of these sections but by far the most stunning was the Orchid Garden. This Garden is in honour of the nation's flower and its past leaders. They have every colour of Orchid (hybrid too) imaginable; some of which were gifts to specific public influential people, which I thought was incredible. We ended our night at the Garden's free concert, presenting Members of the Israel Philharmonic Orchestra who played The Four Seasons by Vivaldi. Perfect fit for the occasion. You can't go here and not feel all the beauty these flowers radiate. I honestly have no words to explain how vibrant it is, you'll just have to go see for yourselves. The famous Singaporean Sling at the original Raffles Hotel. 10/10 would recommend, but only once.

21 in Asia?
Turning 21 in Asia was a wild time, of course it helped that it was ladies night and the amount of free drinks we received was unreal. I had a great friend join me which warmed my heart and made my night that much more special. Birthday's have never been my favourite thing in the world so it was nice to celebrate with an old friend and so many new amazing friends that I have met along the way. One of the best birthdays I've ever had, all thanks to these people.
21 in Asia? How many people can say that? Cheers! All my love xx Gardens By The BayThese gardens are straight out of the Avatar Movie. It was so cool to walk around and see all the futuristic art and structures of these creations. It was inexpensive to go up and walk around the upper decks and the view of all the other "Avatar Trees" was quite spectacular. Once you move past the futuristic trees you can also walk all around the grounds which are right by the Bay. All the greenery makes it seem like you're in the jungle. Best of both worlds?

First Stop, Singapore.
After about 26 hours of traveling I finally arrived in the long anticipated SE Asia.
It's a long haul coming from Vancouver to Singapore. My flight was about 14 hours from
Vancouver to Hong Kong then another 5 from Hong Kong to Singapore. HK airport was a zoo.
I always thought Toronto was hussle and bussle business first city, boy was I wrong. HK schools
everything you think you know about the business world and the economic stand point of
major cities.
From HK was another 5 hours to my final stop, Singapore.
First thought? It's humid but oh so beautiful. I have never experienced such a place that is
so clean and so lush. It's hard to compare to anywhere else that I've ever been. People always told me
it was hard to explain and like nothing I've ever seen but you never realize until you are completely
immersed in it how true that is. It's so unique and you can feel the culture sprouting from every end.
After finding my room and meeting my lovely roommates Louise, Maaike and Michaela I finally had time
to sit down and take it in. I am on my own, in a new country, on the other side of the globe. Scary? Yes.
Riveting? Even more so.
I am so proud of myself for doing this and so excited for all the adventures my life is going to be filled
with in the next 4 months and can't wait to fill you all in on it!
